Shakila Miller is the strategic business woman behind Legally Protect Your Craft, The S. Miller Law Firm, a virtual law firm. Shakila is a Texas licensed attorney who advocates for individuals, entertainers, entrepreneurs, business owners, and wrongfully accused individuals.\u00a0She is an entertainment, intellectual property, and criminal defense attorney.<\/p>\n

She believes in helping others protect their rights and what matters to them the most. Shakila has a diverse base of clients, consisting of hip hop recording artist, stylist, salon owners, artist managers, music producers, small business owners, and many more.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo every problem there is a solution,\u201d which Shakila is a firm believer that she can help each client find a solution to their problem or point them in the right direction to find the right solution.<\/p>\n

Shakila received her law degree in Houston, Texas from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and bachelor\u2019s degree in criminal justice and Paralegal Studies from Grambling State University. During law school Shakila was an Administrative Editor on the TMSL Law Journal on Gender, Race, and Injustice. She also interned at \u00a0Anderson & Smith P.L.L.C. under the supervision of Entertainment Attorney Ricky Anderson. She later interned for Roxell Richards Law Firm doing general practice and getting experience in copyrights, trademarks, entertainment, criminal, and an array of other areas of law. Going into Shakila\u2019s last year of law school she also interned in Washington, D.C. with Wyz Girl Ent. Consulting under the supervision of Attorney Lita Rosario. While with Wyz Girl, Shakila was exposed to intellectual property litigation, licensing, and protecting royalty assets.<\/p>\n

Shakila is a proud member of the Texas Bar Association, Houston Young Lawyers Associations, Black Entertainment and Sports Law Association (BESLA), and the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy.<\/p>\n
